Conundrum

Conundrum:

“A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don’t have one, you’ll probably never need one again.”

The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or
confusing.

Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America :

1. America is capitalist and greedy – yet half of the population is subsidized.
2. Half of the population is subsidized – yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims – yet their representatives run the government.
4 Their representatives run the government – yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer – yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6 They have things that people in other countries only dream about – yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century.

Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

Moms Demand: Increased Rape with Campus Carry Movement?

In 2nd Amendment by Patrick James0 Comments

1361197410 9995 which sign1682We all know what Shannon Watts has been up to since her invent of Moms Demand Action, no it’s not a “porno” title (they claim we “gun nuts” refer to it as such) and although I do think it’s funny, they are quickly becoming one of the most destructively inaccurate and emotionally biased propagandist groups to ever grace the social media scene. Shannon’s use of sentences like; And who are the NRA’s missionaries in this grotesque campaign to exploit campus rape in order to sell more guns?” her newest attempt at reporting the “news”, is just as “grotesque and garish” at the very least.  Her emotionally charged hyperbole has absolutely no foundation. Shannon knows there are no factual statistics to bolster her claims, so in typical “Shannon Watts” fashion, she “lays it on thick” in hopes that “emotionally” charged readers will take up her torch.

Gun Shy: American Business Intimidated By Guns

In Articles by Staff Writer0 Comments

Too Hot To Handle

Americans own more guns per capita than any country in the world. Without any gun registry, as many other countries have, it is estimated that there are nearly as many guns in America as there are people. Estimates put the number at about 90 firearms for every 100 people. America is Gun Country, however more and more American businesses are becoming increasingly Gun Shy. As the “gun debate” has taken a more prominent place in public discourse, businesses have started “taking sides” either voluntarily or because they were drawn into the debate by advocates on both sides. Either way, the general consensus of the public and media is that “guns are bad” and businesses should avoid any association with them, no matter how tangential that association may be.

Black History Month: The Intent Of Our Founding Fathers

Declaration of Independence

During Black History Month, a dedication that I wholly support, there is much talk of both the horrors suffered by Blacks in our United States History as well as the accomplishments of Black Americans. Unfortunately the discussion often turns to talk of Reparations, Racism and the darker side of our national past. I think it only fair to look at the true intent of our Founders from the very Declaration of Independence itself.

Because We Stand “In Defiance Of Tyranny”

In Defiance of Tyranny

What does ALL “gun control” have in common? I’ll give you a hint, it has NOTHING to do with public safety, saving lives or “the children.” To give you an idea of the true goal of “gun control” you simply have to look at the weapons they try hardest to control. Going all the way back to 1934 and the National Firearms Act when fully automatic weapons were effectively banned, for all but those with the “squeakiest clean” records and the money to PAY for their RIGHT. The question is WHY make such weapons virtually unavailable to the general public? Another hint, it had NOTHING to do with gangland massacres (as advertised), but like modern mass shootings (shamelessly exploited by gun grabbers), they provided a plausible cover story. So, now that we know what it is NOT, let’s take a peek behind the curtain of what is publicly peddled.

BATFE: Infringing on our rights again?

In Articles by Patrick James0 Comments

M855 Ammunition

Is our federal government at it again or better said; are they still trying to find new and interesting ways to take away our rights. In specific, is the ATF currently looking at reasons to ban M855/SS109 ammunition in regards to protecting LEOs. Is said ammunition, that can penetrate level 2A body armor when fired from a pistol so completely evil that they want to take it away from us or… are they creating a NEW supply and demand for money? I completely agree that LEOs should be protected, but being an LEO is inherently dangerous and just comes with the job. Are they trying to further restrict and infringe on our rights? I have no doubt that is a definite possibility, but I’m more likely to believe that they are creating a “money” scheme here. So let me explain this little scenario.

Government Can Protect Or Infringe Your Rights, Which Is Up To YOU

I am embarassed to admit that in my 49 years of life, I have only just begun to accept and exercise my power and responsibility as an American citizen. Although I have been a “political junkie” most of my life, until recently it has been as a spectator. I now know that politics is NOT a spectator sport. About 3 years ago I began taking a more active role in politics. At first, it was nothing more than posting my opinions on a Facebook page and arguing politics with friends and family, both in person and through social media. That Facebook page was, and still is, Cold Dead Hands. In the course of writing for the page I began to do more research into the main subject of the page, which is gun rights and constitutional protection of those rights. As I delved deeper, I found that the same mentalities and thought processes that threaten American’s gun rights pervade almost every issue in the current political debates. Those who seek security and absolution from personal responsibility push legislation to curtail the liberties of all Americans in pursuit of that goal. The question then became, “What can I do about it?”

Firearms Policy Coalition

Firearms Policy Coalition Image

This is a significant decision on the right to buy and sell handguns across state lines. Much of the government’s arguments were based on information from 1968 when the interstate handgun sale ban was initiated. The court noted that technology for performing background checks has drastically improved and the government’s concerns (compelling interests) in preventing people from using out of state purchases to skirt gun laws are no longer narrowly tailored over 40 years later.

From the opinion: “. . . the Court concludes that Defendants(the federal government) have not shown that the federal interstate handgun transfer ban is narrowly tailored to be the least restrictive means of achieving the Government’s goals under current law. The federal interstate handgun transfer ban is therefore unconstitutional on its face.”
