At the risk of sounding like a left-wing, commie-pinko, feel-good, tree-hugger, these people need love. They need to see that while the anti-gun side of this battle is full of hurting people who want everyone to experience the level of pain that they have known, our side wishes to prevent our pain from ever taking hold in another human heart. That while they bask in these tragedies as they watch their political power grow, we weep and mourn the pain that these people, these fellow humans, experience.
Gandhi said that we have to be the change we want to see in the world. Look at the groups of people on either side of any hot topic of discussion and you will quickly learn which ones mean to create a world of equal suffering and which ones desire to prevent future suffering. I, for one, strive that no man, woman, or child should have to endure the terror and excruciating pain that has become almost common in our country.
Again, I know I’m preaching to the choir, but I had to get this of my chest… I feel a little better, but I really wish I could plaster this all over every anti-gun site in the world.
