Trump, Feminism And Immigration [VIDEO]

I’m sure by now, most Americans have heard the Fake News or “Alternative Facts” surrounding President Trumps’s “Muslim Ban” Executive Order. So, here are some actual FACTS and REAL News for you. If President Trump had instituted a “Muslim Ban,” he would have been well within his legal authority to do so under 8 U.S. Code § 1187 (f).

Note the wording, “ANY aliens” or “ANY class of aliens,” so while a religious test or designation may not sit well with folks, if there is a justifiable threat to “the interests of the United States,” then it would be completely legal. However, that is NOT what President Trump did and, in fact, it was President Obama that designated the seven nations that are effected “referred to in section 217(a)(12) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1187(a)(12).” Full Text Of Executive Order.

February 2016 “The Department of Homeland Security today announced that it is continuing its implementation of the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015 with the addition of Libya, Somalia, and Yemen as three countries of concern, limiting Visa Waiver Program travel for certain individuals who have traveled to these countries.” It noted “the three additional countries designated today join Iran, Iraq, Sudan and Syria as countries subject to restrictions for Visa Waiver Program travel for certain individuals.” It was the US policy under Obama to restrict and target people “who have been present in Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, at any time on or after March 1, 2011 (with limited government/military exceptions).” This was text of the US Customs and Border Protection in 2015 relating to “the Visa Waiver Program and Terrorist Travel Protection Act of 2015“. The link even includes the seven nation list in it: “Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Somalia or Yemen.” The media knew this back in May of 2016 and some civil rights groups complained about it. “These restrictions have provoked an outcry from the Iranian-American community, as well as Arab-American and civil-liberties groups, who say the restrictions on dual nationals and certain travelers are discriminatory and could be imposed against American dual nationals.”

Not only is the Executive Order NOT a “Muslim Ban,” but President Obama’s administration picked the countries, NOT President Trump. Furthermore, there are approximately FORTY-FIVE “Muslim-Majority Countries” where the population is more than 50% Muslim. So, 7 out of 45 countries does NOT a Muslim Ban make.

So, where does feminism fit into all of this? Well, you may have noticed, during the “Women’s March” against President Trump, between the “cat” hats and walking vaginas (literally) there was the image of a woman in an American flag Islamic head cover.

However, the inauguration protests and Women’s March on Washington weren’t exactly representative of the views of ALL women or even ALL Muslim-American women. It seems that many Pro-Life women, despite having issues with President Trump, weren’t exactly welcomed in the “Women’s March.” It seems as though not all Arab/Muslim immigrants and refugees are thrilled about importing more of the culture that they “escaped” either. This young Arab woman at a Milo Yiannopoulos event summed up her opinion and feelings on the issue quite… eloquently? Bluntly? Passionately? Explicitly?
